Building a webmention receiver

In today’s Webmentions Beyond Webmention.io online meet-up there was a request for people who were willing to implement their own receiver.

I’m interested. I’d like to build an endpoint that replaces what I currently use webmention.io for: receiving, storing and sending a webhook to my server with the parsed webmention.

It wouldn’t be a drop-in replacement. I’m also not sure I’m ready to host and run a service for others right now. But I think a receiver would be a useful building block and I’m willing to open-source it for self-hosting.

Let’s see how I get on.
